Beautiful Savior

With some tech-help, my daughter (age 7) made this flip chart for Beautiful Savior (Crusader's Hymn 62).

I've heard other Primaries talk about how much they love to sing this song, and honestly, it intimated me very much! So much so that I hadn't touched it in the 3 years I've been in the Primary Music Calling. But when my daughter got asked to sing in a small group in Sacrament, and had to practice at home - I knew we had to do something! She loved coloring the pictures. But honestly, the most fun part for me was finding and notating the musical patterns. We wrote the "slides" and "steps" on/around the words on the flip chart. It was fun to see how many times these little patterns repeated in the song.

So, long story short (and for future reference), Beautiful Savior would be a fun song to do a melody map or musical pattern finding activity with.
