Sun Wheel

There are FOUR verses in the old orange Sing With Me Book.  I made a visual aide for them all...

*This was probably the most labor intensive visual aide I've made. It was A LOT of work. It took a month to make.  This is now a family heirloom.

*I was going to make this a how-to post. But.... uh.... to start with, cutting the shape of a sun is harder than you might think!  And, believe it or not, the sun is made of cereal boxes. And lots of packing tape (because, how do you laminate something this size?).  Anyway... if someone really wants a how-to I'll type it up. But for now I'm short on time...

*I need to take a picture of the back side! I've put hints that show me where to turn the wheel on what verse, etcetera. The whole thing - from project inception/completion to useage - is a lot of work!

This is my meter board for SUPER SUNBEAM SINGING! I'll use it when we learn the additional verses to Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam.

Crepe Paper Sunbeams

Make super easy "Sunbeams" to wave while you sing Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam.

• Buy yellow crepe paper
• Cut it into strips
• Wave them while you sing the song

EASY!

Sun Sticks

I made these Sun Sticks (or Wands) to wave while singing Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam.

I went to town on making 12 of these.... and then I realized there is an easier way to make 'Sunbeams' to wave while we sing - and make enough for everyone to have one in a large Primary (see: crepe paper 'Sunbeams')!  But, I still found a use for these sticks ---> to choose ways to sing 'Sunbeam Style'.


***Yes, the stick is a plastic knife. I always end up throwing those away! So glad to find a use for them. They work perfectly!

More Sunbeam Verses

There are FOUR, yes 4, verses to Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam.  There are only 2 published in the blue Children's songbook, but I found 4 verses in the orange Sing With Me book.  I need to type them here so I can reference them in my planning (I want to learn all the verses Spring 2015)

Jesus wants me for a sunbeam

Make a mask of a sun with a hole cut out for kids to put their faces through. Put it on a stick and call it a day!  Use it for Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam.
